Job description :
The Lycée Français International Théodore Monod (LFITM) welcomes 1,550 students from more than 50 nationalities from Pre-KG classes to Grade 12. Certified by the French Ministry of Education and recognized as a Cambridge international school, the school offers a unique educational experience and benefits from outstanding facilities.
The English Literature teacher is required to teach both middle school and high school. The candidate must understand and be compliant with the Aflec educational project and the LFITM strategic plan. He/she must understand and act in accordance with the inspection process of ADEK, the equivalent of the Ministry of Education in Abu Dhabi.
The LFITM is a digitally connected school from G4 to G12, therefore the innovative teaching and learning of digital technologies are an integral part of our curriculum.
Required profile :
The candidate must have a native or equivalent level of English. Experience in teaching the BFI subjects “Approfondissement Culturel et Linguistique” and “Connaissance Du Monde” would be desired. He/She would preferably have experience of teaching in a French school. Priority must be given to the pedagogical and educational quality of teaching; therefore, the candidate must actively contribute towards the educational excellence for which the school strives.
He/She must be aware of differentiation and be proactive in adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the various needs of our students. Teaching at LFITM requires a strong interest in a multicultural and multilingual environment in which the teacher must possess excellent communication skills when working with multicultural students, colleagues, and families. Fluency in English is a must. Fluency in French is desired. Couple applications are welcomed.
Minimum level of education required:
Full-time teacher at the French Ministry of Education (CRPE, CAPES, Agrégation, CAPET, CAPLP2 competitions, etc.) Or PGCE (or equivalent) Or University bachelor’s degree in education in the subject
